Immersive theatre, can be scripted or improvised and usually involves at least one actor plus a delegate who wants to explore a difficult workplace situation that may already have happened or that the delegate forsees happening in the near future. It gives the delegate the opportunity to explore the challenges of having difficult conversations in the workplace and the confidence to tackle them head on. Immersive theatre also helps the delegate to understand the immediate impact those conversations may have on colleagues and also the effect they may have further down the line. 

Feedback from the rest of the group also allows the delegate to understand which techniques are ineffective and identify those which work best when confronted with challenging situations.
