Roleplay for Business Ltd. recently did some exciting media training with The Lowry in Salford. Their spokespeople were presented with various scenarios before being quizzed by ‘the press’ to test their media interview skills. Roleplay for Business Ltd supplied an actor to portray a number of roles to add another dimension to those scenarios - and the day was a great success. Their head of communications said:
“We’ve organised media training before but never had an independent character factored into the scenario – which definitely added something to the mix.”
We currently have an ongoing contract with the Law Department at the Northumbria University in Newcastle. Role play actors are using their skills to place students in life-like scenarios, helping to improve interview technique and advocacy skills for the next generation of lawyers.
“We have found working with Roleplay for business Ltd a great pleasure, the booking process is simple and efficient, and we were pleased with the quality of actors provided.“
“The actors were great. A number of students reported that they believed the client (played by the actor) was real and thus really benefited from the experience. We were also grateful to the actors for providing feedback to the students.”
One of our actors was recently involved in an in-house assessment event with
Hidden Hearing. Here is what their Head of Development & Training had to say:
"The activity that the actor was involved in actually went better than planned. He played the role very well and was also helpful in giving the assessing panel feedback that they could use in debriefing our participants. We hadn’t expected this, it was very welcome".
"The assessing panel and also the participants themselves commented that using an actor, was far more effective than the role plays we have done previously (using our own staff). This approach is a first for us and I was a little unsure how it would go. The outcome was very effective, the actor delivered exactly what was needed and we look forward to working with him again".
3 of our actors were recently involved with some work for DAC Beachcroft, performing in a mock trial for Northern Gas Networks. This type of training helps create a realistic and interactive element for the delegates which would not happen using conventional training methods, giving delegates a safe space to demonstrate and develop practical skills and techniques.
